2019 Update

I hope every one is enjoying the start of the new year. It’s been a busy holiday season for the family and on top of that I am also trying to prepare for a print sale & gallery show (group show) at the Deep Freeze Festival.Β I am hoping to edit a few more of my favorite 2018 landscapes for the print sale…cross your fingers for me πŸ˜‰

Here is a 12×6 medium format frame I’ve been working on:

Work in progress

It’s been a while since I posted anything here. Life has been distracting and I’ve concentrated my energy elsewhere. But, over the last few months I did manage to scan all the film negatives I had lying around…so that’s something.

With the kitchen, bathroom and new baby room painted I have a bit of extra time to work on a few of my favorites from 2018. If it wasn’t for the annual Twitter Art Advent Calendar I probably wouldn’t have been as motivated to get anything edited. If you haven’t heard about this Art Advent Calendar you can check out my blog post from last year here.Β

Here are a couple of 120 film scans I’ve been working on:

Work in Progress – Purple Flowers, Canola and barn – Diptych

Nature, Photography

Not sure if it works as a diptych but my first impression is that I like it.

Alberta weather has been crazy. We’ve already received two big snow falls. One late this summer and one this weekend. So, I’m just hanging out working on the house (painting the baby’s room). But I did take a small break to scan these frames.

Excitingly and at the same time unfortunately I still have a bunch of negatives to scan from last winter and this summer. Hopefully I’l be caught up soon so I can share some cool photos πŸ™‚ If not have a fun winter πŸ™‚
